We are pleased to nominate Laurie Black to serve on the San Diego Unified Port District Board of Port Commissioners.

In addition to her work with the Port, she also has served as past President of theDowntown San Diego Partnership, and board member of the following organizations: Centre City Development Corporation, San Diego Convention andVisitors Bureau, San Diego County Regional Water Quality Control Board, SanDiego Library Commission, San Diego City College Foundation, San DiegoCommunity College Advisory Board, San Diego Opera, and Board of Overseers ofUniversity of California, San Diego.

Ms.Black’s extensive skills and qualifications advocating for both economic and environmental issues as well as her relationships with stakeholders representing various sectors of the Port community have prepared her to be an excellent addition to the San Diego Board of Port Commissioners.

It is an honor to nominate such a knowledgeable and qualified candidate, and we urge our colleagues to support Ms. Black.
