SAN DIEGO (October 19, 2015) – Councilmember Alvarez has issued the following statement in response to an EMS Compliance Report for FY 2016 Quarter 1 and the Rural/Metro of San Diego’s notice of non-compliance:

“When the City extended the Rural Metro contract in June 2015, we were told services would improve and citywide enhancements would be made.  This report clearly shows that ambulance response times are too slow and that is putting lives at risk, which is unacceptable and must be addressed immediately.”
